ON the other hand, yes the 12.9' is a mindblowing device...and i suspect the next ipadOS will take advange of all of this new hardware...they wouldnt allow you to spec it out with 16gb ram without a reason (ofc money, but in the world of apple where we/you get ram bump so slowly..) So except ipadOS to be even heavier with more pro apps coming
The iMac is different...is something that others dont have...so for now its recognisable as an iMac even without the apple logo.
The chin is a marvellous and forward thinking placing the hot components and fans away from the display...displays that are becoming more and more hot because of the number of pixels increasing...so its great that the display is alone away from other heat components

the imac is just different...i said its bold and recognisable Apple product now...i will not be shocked if the others will start and copy this
The industry was too bored to try things out and went with the same old black+silver over and over again for decades....
So the iMac cannot be ugly since is something new and out of the ordinary...is just different.
If every pc all in one monitors/tv were colourful then....you get the picture
Its a human being to get used to..Is not ugly, we are just used with the industry standard design thats all. The industry is ugly because they lack the imagination

AirTag: A great product with a good incentive behind it, but I'm pretty sure some people will find a way to turn it into a stalking device through a disassembly and hardware modifications.
11 inch iPad Pro: Good but nothing new apart from M1 SoC.
12.9 inch iPad Pro: So close to being a perfect tablet, yet hindered by iPadOS in the current state. In WWDC Apple may announce some professional apps being ported over iPadOS, or substantial changes to iPadOS in terms of how app/file management works, or both.
If Apple put MacOS on it instead, it would've affected the sales of most high end tablets/2-in-1 hybrids/expensive ultra thin laptops in the market, including their own M1 equipped MBA and MBP.. and that's probably why they decided not to do that. Still, such a pity.
iMac: I love how slim it is, the white bezels, the lack of height-adjustable hinge and funky colours are all extremely questionable IMO. As for the chin.. I guess they needed it to make this iMac iconic and stand out from other AIOs, but it could've been much, much smaller than this. I was also expecting a more powerful SoC than M1.

It was a nice event. It could have been better, they could have shown more things, but it wasn’t bad.
They concentrated more on the iPad Pro, which was normal. The new colours for the iMac and iPhone 12/12 mini are welcomed too.

Made the switch to macOS nearly 5 years ago. Will never touch a Windows PC again unless I have to. I personally prefer macOS more than iOS. Just doesn't give me problems. Doesn't slow down either. And it's still on El Capitan for goodness sakes!
For desktop: macOS
For mobile: Android
But I will switch between an iPhone or Pixel every few years. That's if Pixels still exists by then. If not, then Motorola if they continue their Razr line. Never liked Samsung. Never will. And I owned multiple Samsung products including phones and TVs.
I don't understand why not using Google and Apple products and services concurrently? I don't even like either one but have no choice and need to use them for my computing life. Picking between them and hearing about your preferred ecosystem is vastly overrated.

Said midrange laptop battery life will be about 2 to 3 hour (if you are very lucky) while much heavier and bigger, on the other hand an iPad can get you through over one day without any breaking a sweat.
The real problem about the iPad is the "half baked" OS, the M1 is an amazing chip and the iPad would be a real beast worth its price with a decent OS

I think the only exciting news is that they are going to put the new M1 chip on the Ipad pro and that's it. ... and also the price which would range from $800 to $1000. This is going to be the same price as a midrange gaming laptop, you could get even RTX 2070 laptop with an additional 200 USD, which is going to make this comparison like a bicycle to a motorcycle.

The Hermes tag thing is just Apple feeling bad for offering low prices to its customer, so they came up with that idea for them to pay more if they wish to.
The iMac new colors look great, and I like it. No more boring silver/black things. On the other hand, that Ipad-ish design looks weird as hell.
