Well I've had my Xperia U connected up to my laptop several times since this information came through and there has been no UK update and my handset is fully unlocked. Wish they wouldn't announce these things when they don't know for sure its available for everybody.

Still no update in India! Sony should provide a time frame or a calendar to help us. I've been waiting since ages for this update and although its a good news - hoping for a bug free update. Sony testers are letting us down for each firmware update. I'm pretty sure I wont get Jelly Bean for this device, once ICS gets bored - I'll throw this phone on Sony's face.

seems like Sony is keeping their promise of updating their phones, thumbs up! will consider Sony to be my next Android phone but please have more models and specs that are align with current consumers' expectations. it is not only about how good the phone looks but also what is inside running it.
so disappointed with my samsung and motorola that they backed out on their promise of updating.
