If people were as stupid with those as they were with pop up camera :
Better have a waterfall display than this, those are moving parts which is a downside and the industry is trying to move away from it, they will fail from wear, also if you drop the phone it will break as it is probably fragile, and it will be hard and expensive to repair.
It will accumulate dust and will break if because of water because it can't be made water resistant.
It is expensive and take up a lot of space, and we don't need those thanks to waterfall displays.

Xiaomi produced great devices recently with mi 11 series, redmi k40 series and poco x3 series.
Hope Xiaomi can stop apple, samsung,google and oppo overpriced products.

If this phone really starts at $299 and is available globally, it will be the best seller this year. Cool looks, powerful processor, big amoled screen, massive battery with fast charge, gaming buttons, and a big price to performance ratio
