And quite frankly, Apple's is actually the closest to that. They have a massive userbase and it all operates under same system that has actually been in place for ages for other devices. Most others rely on Google for tracking of lost devices so really it would have to be Google that does this and makes it a feature by default in Android. Coz currently, every vendor outside Apple's thing does it in their own way using own method. And for this to really work well you need lots of users and a standardized method. Tile's thing isn't it, neither is Samsung's or Oppo's. And even if Google does it, it'll take years for it to become adopted enough among Android users to even become a thing.

          Tigolebitties, 22 Apr 2021Tile did it first tho... But Tile is not doing a very good job at it despite being first. You need to pay them to get more detailed GPS coordinates, and they recently gutted the subscription-less usage of the service to near-uselessness.

            Nothing wrong with competition, competition is good for us all, regardless of preference to brands.
            I'd be all up to trying different tags from different brands...some might be copies but others might be genuine improvements

                          Nice to have for those who usually do, however. There's market for it, even if niche.
