Apple does famously move slow when it comes to innovation, but they usually make a move when advancements are more refined.
People either buy their products or they don't....at the end of the day it is whatever floats your boat.
I have never found a use for GPS tags but I would obviously choose ones that can be used across different devices and OS's ... I see these being good once international travel is safe again or if you regularly lose things.
A credit card size one would be great for sliding in to wallets

The most forgiving for scuffs is the white 12 and 12 mini. The aluminum band is silver. But I still went for the black because it just looked so sleek and reminded me of my old iPhone 4 I got on launch day (6-24-2010).

I really wanted to wait for the 13 mini as I prefer the number 13 more than 12 although I'm December baby and I write 12 all the time for my DOB. Plus, I know about the 12 mini's battery issues. But I just couldn't wait anymore and I needed to trade in my 7 ASAP to get the $530 credit from T-Mobile.
The new screen I replaced it started to show touch disease. Like the touchscreen became unresponsive. Luckily, it went back to normal at the T-Mobile store which made me reset everything as soon as I could. That's what happens if it's from a third-party repair and they use generic displays. I still got the $530 credit though.
Overall, I think the 12 mini is fine. An iPhone only became my daily driver again after 10 years because iMessages makes it easier to text my family. The MMS looks way better without degradation. But it's really for my Apple Watch Series 2 that I got for $60 and it's mint. I need it to be paired up all the time. Keeps me notified and tracks my exercise minutes.

Should've been a darker purple. I hate the Lakers being a Clippers fan since 1992. Although I was a Lakers fan first the first couple years I started watching the NBA back in 1990. I do like the color purple and I don't mean the film since I've never seen it. I find the color purple to be royalty. But what Apple is using isn't purple or even velvet for that matter.
Stick to black, blue, or white backs. The white is more forgiving with the band around it. The black 12 mini can scuff easily with a different color underneath like the slate 5 back in the day. It's probably why I haven't used my 12 mini yet as my daily driver. Only used it to install apps and used it sparingly. Waiting for my cases to arrive for it.

The 12 mini doesn't start at 53000, nor does the 12 start at 70000, as mentioned in the article. The starting prices for 12 mini and 12 are the same as at launch i.e., 69900 and 79900 respectively, including for the new purple colour.

The AirTags are a gimmick if you ask me (even though, I think they will start to appear more frequently on the market, now that Apple has released them).
But the purple color looks very nice. I was actually upset when the initial colors for iPhone 12 appeared, because they left aside the purple color from the iPhone 11. Now they brought it back and is nice.
My favorite colors though, remain the ones from the iPhone Xr (coral, sky blue and yellow look very nice).
