If they will use WP8, then Timescape UI will be absent on there device. I think Google chose Sony to have Vanilla android because they dont use other OS aside from android unlike Samsung and hTC. Its like Google's gift to Sony for being loyal to Android. :)

    I think Sony should release a WP8 phone. They are excellent in making superior hardware and bringing innovations, so a good software support from a company like Microsoft wouldn't be bad at all. I prefer Nokia, but i can never ignore a Sony.
