I wish phone makers will reconsider making a phone allow swap battery in snap second.

Some people have unrealistic expectations. They want a phone below 5.5 inches, but they also want it to have a long battery life, and a flagship processor, and dual SIM slots, and a 3.5mm jack, and it can't run too hot, and it has to be really really well built, and it has to have 7 years of reliable updates and never break down, and it can't have a notch or a cutout, but the camera should be top-of-the-line, it needs Quad DAC and every band of 5G, and it should tell you how great you are and what a savvy consumer you are for having purchased it, oh, and all of this should cost less than $500 and be made by a non-chinese company.

You've seen from the past five years that companies have no interest in compact phones and with good reason - the people just don't care. Apple's cut down production of the 12 Mini because people aren't buying it and most other major manufacturers are sticking to 6.1 inch and above because that's how they're able to fit in all the parts that give users the experience they demand. But then everyone's an engineer on here.

I really hope they make available in Canada!

Essen, 24 Apr 2021+1. All OEMs should cater to these sizes. However, the lack... moreThat's probably why they chose 5.9 instead of even smaller size as the smallest screen phone.

5.5 used to be called a phablet lol.

Most people probably use phones for media so bigger is better for that. I for one use a 6.5 inch screen, but I know there are people searching for small screen flagships since sony stopped theirs.

The problem with the flip camera is the limited size for place big camera sensors. Unless you make a monster module that will be mechanically undesirable. For those who prioritize having a full screen without holes and thin bezes it is ok. For those that want great cameras not. Adding a display at the back is better and also let you seal the phone plus avoid mechanical problems.

Please please Asus, make it available in India. Recently phones are too big and hefty, it's not even a smartphone anymore, 6.5 inches are Phablets yes?.

wbpwns, 24 Apr 2021Asus zenfone 8 series should have 5.5, 6.2, 6.7 screen size... more+1. All OEMs should cater to these sizes. However, the lack of response to the Samsung Galaxy A10e, A203, A40, S10e and the iPhone 12 Mini makes me think nobody wants a size below six inches. I just moved from a 4 year old 150gm, 5-inch phone to a 2 year old 6.18 inch 180gm phone. And the difference in ergonomics and comfort and usability is stark. I so much wish I could go back to my 4 year old smaller lighter 'mobile' phone.

And this is not about small or big hands. It's about comfort, ergonomics and usability. My ideal size is actually a 4.7 inch 16:9 phone with hardware navigation buttons. But even a 5.4 to 5.8 with current ratios will be welcome considering the 200+gm shovels being brandished about.
