btw this youtube changes already applied since yesterday.
This change is good for elderly, most of them dont understand about digital things.
But for experienced users, this is not nice and make it uncomfortable

We need a default resolution in the settings, how hard is that...?
I don't understand why they are making the process more complicated without adding any added value.

I don't see the difference picking anything higher than 1080p on the phone. The only thing I notice just the battery drains very quickly if you choose 4K.

We have to deal these extra steps because some boomers are super clueless just about anything. Ah boomers.

What is this nonsense? Why do companies keep making changes to their software just for the sake of change? You’d rather let your developers fix bugs than implementing such things that just decrease the user experience.

Its always dangerous when an app becomes so good there isn't any room for actual improvement - the company is still stuck with a team of developers who want to keep their jobs, so they start changing stuff that doesn't need to be changed just for the sake of having some work to do.

Woke Google Maps, data-efficient YouTube. Google has really gone to hell this year.
