I think this is okay and i bet 3.0 or 3.1 will be the last for this phone.
It's not about if the system can handle it, it's about the time of release. Entry level phones are always getting at least one major update, if they're being generous, they will give two major updates. But here, DOESN'T MATTER how good your phone, if it's update service has ended, your phone's update will stop there. Don't tell them to update S9 series to One UI 3.0, they already had 2.5 years of update, that is enough in that time. What do you think Android is? They just had half of Apple's IOS updates, but I can understand that, there are too much android devices. But gladly nowadays upper mid-range and flagship get 3 major updates with some flagship that using SD888 getting 4 years of updates
