Asus teaser reveals punch hole in Zenfone 8 display

It seems not all Zenfone 8 models will continue the flip camera tradition of years past.

    What is bad of have several different models for each taste? Some source code leaked show the name Zenfone 8 Flip. So, for those hoping another phone with flip camera, is almost a safe bet that you'll have a flip phone available together with the other models or variants.

    The flip camera can't be used for periscope and other big sensors without be to thick, huge and undesirable visually and from a mechanical point of view.

    The only things i'm worried are if they'll improve their image software processing in this phones or not. And what sensors they'll use in the non flip models... if new big ones or the older and smaller IMX686, etc.

      No flip camera. I liked the motion tracking feature 7 provided. You could literally shoot picture of sky while holding the phone normally. And using motion tracking for video while the phone was on a tripod, was such a neat use of that technology.
      Disappointed.

          It's the best compact phone this year.

          Zenfone 8 mini with Punch hole just another mainstream flagship.

            Isn't a flip up dedicated variant supposed to be a thing, making it logic that the regular one doesn't have the flip up ?

            If no Zenfone 8 Flip is planned, I hope the Zenfone 8 sells will be so bad that it serve as a Karma for Asus and a lesson for all brands that we are tired of those punch holes, and we do want and like flip up, pop up, sliders and other solutions!

                  Teasing about hole in the screen, like thats something new. Have under display cam then that be something. Hoe in the screen is already something that all phones have and wont be surprising this one has it too

                    But it is better than iphone, stuck in badass notch.

                          people were excited about the mini but that holepunch is going to make them change their mind in an instant.
                          now its just any other phone but with somewhat flagship specs, they had something great with the flip camera now they gave it up for what? imo, they just want people to buy the more expensive ones for the flip cam.

                              This phone is going to replace my 6" display Mi 9 SE with almost exact the same dimension...BUT what the heck with those large bezel? Welp I dont mind as long they fit larger battery capacity like 4200-4500mAh...
