Hall of shame was iphone x, bezelles phone with 2 cameras but after samsung huawei and many... now they are using LiDAR which is indeed ToF used by many... and arent they about to introduce 120HZ display as a brand new tech while 250$ xiaomi has it.
Dont get me wrong i was thinking to get S21 ultra or 12 Pro max and bundeled with watch active 2 and galaxy buds samsung won. But that i think that iphone does great job design and chipset wise, doesnt mean that i dont hate their lazyness and profit margines. They introduce "new technology" and "features" few years after android... After iphone 5s only thing i love about apple is M1 macbook pro...

Growing tired of Samsung, back in the day they had the best all around packages ( S2, S3, S4, Note4, Note7, Note9 ( daily driver ) and brief Note20Ultra user here) and I liked Touch wiz most, now One UI is the almost the best one out there for me but each update limited or took away something good from the previous one.
Now quality is poor, weight is heavier when prices are the same while Huawei and Xiaomi are really changing the game now and the Mi 11 Ultra is a real innovation contender, same for Huawei's Foldable Mate X2 ( both are one upped in every single regard to any Samsung bar or foldable, Apple and basically any other phone ) although the lack of a 3.5mm jack and no MicroSD card support on either is a let down for me.
So I'll still have to wait another year or 2 until we see a Cortex X1 ( proper semi desktop class performance) with an AMD gpu ( 1st gen might be buggy but still exciting nonetheless ) in a smartphone because the only viable alternative which ticks most boxes is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Max but then again its screen isn't even 1440p and I don't want to downgrade...

Despite the crossovers with fashion labels, none of those phones ever became fashion accessories. The only phone that comes close to being a fashion accessory are iPhones which are quite pretty and seems to marriage form together with function quite well.

I remember that Armani phone from 2007. Another phone I lusted for was the Sony Ericsson W960. I don't know why I lusted that in 2007 but I just did. The best phone from 2007 was still the original iPhone. Not the original Nokia N95 that was so popular on Howard Forums.
