Under-display FFC? I'm not quite sure if that's supposed to be an upgrade or not, but it would be cool if Samsung achieved it without sacrificing the quality, I guess.

Making it (and thereby the chassis) wider will also enable samsung to provide an s-pen slot. Maybe samsung will do it next year with the fold 4. By that time the under-display camera will improve too. The one with this phone is first generation.
If they do it like I mentioned above...the fold 4 will be the best phone in the universe. Apple will need 5 years to catch up to it.

The S21 Ultra has dual zoom modules, with 3x and 10x zoom. The 10x is huge though, so a 2x or 3x seems more reasonable for the fold. With good software, they could double that, and have usable photos for the 2x digital zoom, above the already 2x or 3x optical zoom. Which seems good enough.

Samsung, if you are watching then you can tell from the many opinions most of potential buyers are more than happy to trade in the small weight reductions you did in preference for a Bigger Battery and Screen NOT smaller.....looks like I will be skipping the folds 3 again :(

The S21U is the new Note. It has nothing to do with development costs, not announcing things or anything else but the fact that the Z models are the new autumn flagship launches. Two easily differentiable devices launch on each side of the year.
