    Battery capacity is low which leads to more cycles being competed compared to batteries with bigger capacity..

    Xiaomi minimum cycles are between 600-800. And that was for last year's black Shark.
    It's called premium fast charging. You'd get it on your Sony in the next decade.

              I do like the look of the newer Xiaomi phones, I have a friend is Hong Kong, so maybe it would be good to see if I can get them to pick one up when time is closer for my renew.
              I like my iphone so I will keep that as my work phone, but fun stuff and general usage, I'd like to get back to android.

              would it be wiser to get a Xiaomi with a snapdragon or mediatek chip? or does Xiaomi do quite well with both? I know some brands don't really make great mediatek based phones

                    Battery is gonna lose capacity faster when charged at 60, 80 or 100W than 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25W.
                    It is chemical consequence.
                    Chinese OEMs do not care, more money to them by replacing batteries.

                    You can watch any of those videos people test charging time.
                    Phones with faster charging always charge at higher temperature than the rest.
                    Any difference like 5 or 7 celsius, is huge impact to battery already.

                      It's a newly released phone, should be a couple of months before working Gcam shows up.

                      Stock camera quality ain't bad by any means. The iPhone 12 series also uses auto night mode trickery to get good images in low light which is not that different from what gcam does. IPhone 12 pro Max camera ain't any better than the regular iPhone 12 series as confirmed by Gsmarena.

                        The displays Apple used on the 12s are just a little too warm. I don't really care for the more yellowish look. I prefer the colder displays where white looks white. I know warm is easier for the eyes though.

                          Black Shark doesn't even heat up much. Enjoy your 18W charger and pumps out more heat for longer (2hr) therefore damaging the phone in long run.
                          Xiaomi implementation of fast charging is super premium, something you won't get on Sony or Apple.

                                Laptops have used this approach for years.
                                It looks like one huge battery, but they are many smaller for fast charging.
                                This is why they do not last much if recharged everyday.

                                      I don't own a Redmi... I am happy with my new BlackShark 4. Does the job for me, ticks all the boxes at a reasonable price.
                                      And yeah it outperforms the iPhone in everything except maybe camera. Why pay for subpar device? Not a fruit logo worshipper like you.
