Just recently there was S21 Ultra 256GB from Amazon Italy that could have been shipped to UK with European warranty at £779.20.
Even if I would have to pay the release price for Samsung I would still choose it over Xiaomi.
Xiaomi is still not as good as Huawei offerings were back when Huawei was still able to make good phones.

In India you'll be paying full price... It won't be subsidized by local carriers like in other countries... Why do you think companies like Xiaomi, One Plus, Vivo etc. prioritize the Indian market over pretty much every other global market except for China... India is where the profit margins are sky high...

One container ship can transport the amounts of goods equal to thousands and thousands of trucks. It's cheaper and even more environmentally friendly. Even though it's huge ship the amount of CO2 are much less comparing to thousands trucks and their CO2 emissions.

Imo, the people buying a 1000+EUR phone from Xiaomi will be the same people who would have bought a 1000+EUR Samsung or Apple phone. I mean, I doubt somebody looking at a Poco F3 or Redmi Note 10 Pro, will suddenly stop and say "Never mind, I am going to buy the Mi11 Ultra". In other words, doesn't matter how good phones will become, there will be bought by the same people in the end (number wise). So don't expect tens of millions of premium phones to be sold (from the same model I mean).

Even after importing from China, UK people will have to shell out around 200£ more compared to you guys. And if one buys officially from the UK, its almost twice the price.

[deleted post]Just checked Giztop, importing Mi 11 Ultra would cost under 850£ for 8/128gb variant including shipping etc. Add 40£ for 12/256gb variant.
Mi 11 Pro looks like a good deal as it retains the same camera and screen but will cost under 700£ for base variant

I'd pay 1200£ for this phone. It's the best phone on planet right now. No compromises.
You have to pay premium for premium goods.
I was ready to pay Rs.100k and above all for this.
Luckily I am from India and will be getting this for Rs.70k
