but when you think of the purpose of xperia pro, no other phone comes close...
it literally can replace a monitor, broadcast device over 5g, which is more expensive compared to xperia pro...

Xperia 1 ii requires a HDMI stream over USB-C which means you cannot use anything except cameras and specialized hardware. This has a full HDMI port which allows any video feed.
This is really affordable if you compare to the numerous competitors that provide the function this can. Except none of them have triple band 5G and are self contained small and light units.

I ... moreThis isn't actually a smartphone though, is it? This is a compact broadcasting system with a monitor and smartphone attached.
For $2500 ,it is 'value for money' for the exact target niche audience and there is no competition for it because there aren't anything like this out there.

I'm not a fan of this phone but usually Pro Sony porducts and literally every other product for professionals are very expensive. It is advised for any average consumers to stay away of these pro products if they don't have any specific usage for any of these.

I would rather purchase an iPhone 13 for less which would
get 5 years of iOS upgrades. And I prefer Android over iOS.
Maybe this phone was meant for rich folks.
Definitely more than I am willing to pay.
Personally, $1300 is my limit when it comes to smartphones.
