She'll still be paying for it via monthly installments albeit she'll be getting some credit every month towards the total cost of the installment which includes data and call charges. The amount of credit is only up to $830 spread over the 24 months depending on the old iPhone that's been traded in. Well, that's my understanding of it.

      It's an ok deal. My own mom should have got this deal but it doesn't matter much. The difference isn't huge. She'll still pay a minimum of $70 for it because of the Magenta Plan. These bill credits are just to tie us up with their network. Nothing is really free. We are forced to get a more expensive plan. Adds up to the cost of the actual phone.
