HMD releases revised Nokia Android 11 update roadmap

Eight Nokia smartphones will get Android 11 this quarter.

Skins mean the proprietary UI of the different manufacturers. Android one is liked by some because it has no skin but for some that means it's boring and lacks features.

      Nokia is going the way of LG. I see absolutely zero reason to buy one of their awful devices.

Though I've changed the charging port once, the phone still performs very well without lag and it's very compact. It has hit the ground several times but still functioning.

Those who bought Nokia is because of reliability, not simply fast update.. Like google pixel fast but buggy update making its users beta testers.. Reliable updates takes some time.. Especially with complex camera setups like the 9 pureview

                  So sad to see Nokia Phones with Android One to receive last year's Android 11 when Android 12 is around the corner... Espacially frustrating for 9 Pureview users (the last real flagship from Nokia) when almost all other phones even the cheaper ones receive the update much earlier!

                    What do you expect features in Android One? still outnumbered by skins like MIUI etc.

                        Nokia phones are very bad. No reason to purchase one.

                          Me and my family have had many nokia phones over time 2110, 6110, 5110, 8210, 1100, 3105, 6265, 6275, 5200, n73, n95, 2630, 6300, 5220, e51, e71, e72, n82, 5800, n97, 5230, n8, C7, e5, 808, C1-00, Lumia 810, Lumia 830, and after the reboot Nokia 6, nokia 9pv and finally 7.2.

                          After remembering all this list and what is nowadays been offered under the name nokia, I think the 7.2 is the last nokia. Don't get me wrong, the 6, 9 and 7.2 are great but... updates for 7.2 have been very late and they slipped some bugs (GPS) on a couple of updates...

                          The best model they have, does not bring anything to the table. Just nothing, except the intangible Nordic design... that i don't get.

                          So, there is nothing interesting for me in their actual offering. I still have to wait for the 7.2 to die, and by the feeling I have, the one thing the 7.2 outshines everybody else in its segment is durability, so I may have to wait for a while...

                          I've been also a Xiaomi user (not fan BTW), but the last 11 Ultra checked all the boxes... so is either this one or a Samsung, unless they decide to come out from the nothingness they are right now.

                              With this, HMD practically killed in one shot any customer left for them that bought the 6.2/7.2 and the 9 Pureview.

                              Well, no lost for us either way, because HMD is a trash company in a lot of regards.
