I wonder if Samsung can do a 2x Cortex X1 + 3x Cortex-A78 + 3x Cortex-A55 configuration. With the X1 at 3-3.3Ghz, the A78 clocked at 2.1-2.4GHz, and the A55 clocked at 1.8GHz.
And embedded RAM like the 'Unified Memory Architecture'on the M1 chips. Since Samsung is one of the leaders in RAM, this shouldn't be too tough.
The new Exynos 2100 is vastly improved over this generation. But it can still be better. Especially sustained performance, and the GPU

They've made several big speed improvements to the x32 emulation since launch and the x64 should be out of preview with the Windows 10 21H1(which should be rolling out this month). I'm assuming that's why we're hearing a lot more about WoA recently, since the "show stopper" lack of x64 is finally being taken care of officially. You can now run any old software as well as any native ARM stuff.

Samsung is scared of releasing a note 22 due to the chip shortage, Foxconn says they may have one till 2022, GM and Ford had to pause productions because of it.
i would not be surprised if there is a shortage in this chip as well

Vasra, 10 May 2021Samsung already closed down it's own Chip design unit.... morewhat made snapdragon better than exynos/mediatek/kirn is gpu and drivers, AMD can help Samsung to make best drivers and reduce that gap.
if recent leaks are to be believed, Exynos with AMD has twice perfomance of A14, this will make it on par with M1.

Exynos is lost for sure...nobody like that as people complain about region specific SoC, like US get Qualcomm and EU gets Exynos.
This deal with AMD are just to get people attention, but it wont last long. I belive next year or two Sammy will go Qualcomm all the way and Exynos just be gone like it never exists.

This chip will have a sucky CPU with a good GPU and no optimization

Interested in this, but my guess is they will have a tough time keeping up with m1.
Not that it is a big problem, but the os optimization will be the tough part to beat

Bet NVidia had hoped it would have been their GPU after aquisition of ARM which hopefully won't happen.
