Asus cancels tomorrow's Zenfone 8 event for India, ROG Flow X13 and Zephyrus reveals also delayed

YUKI93, 11 May 2021That is a good idea. SD 870 is still based on SD 865 and SD... more870 is a bad idea in a compact phone. It takes extra space due to external modem, and then you see omissions like headphone jack or triple Sim slot. Should go even lower and settle with 780g.

SD 870 is still based on SD 865 and SD 865 itself is still blazing fast in 2021. ASUS can pull the same trick Xiaomi did with the Black Shark 4 lineup - the vanilla variant has SD 870 while the more expensive Pro variant has SD 888.

                    Why can't they simply reveals the Indian pricing with proper specifications! It is not like a top secret documents comes from Sec 18. Come on, it is too much delay already jist like there updates.

                                SShreyas, 11 May 2021It would have been really nice if the Zenfone 8 would have ... moreYes! SD 870 is fast, power efficient, and doesn't crazily heat up as SD 888. Only ROG 5 has managed to get better thermals out of the 888 atm.

                                  It would have been really nice if the Zenfone 8 would have SD870 and a bit cheaper price tag.

                                    Barely surprising. Asus India never made any announcements regarding Zenfone 8 from the start, and kept dodging all the questions related to launch. But it's great to hear it'll come to India eventually, late it may be.
