If you can't stop using GMS, my suggestion is don't buy Huawei.
But for me, I don't have problem without GMS.

I'm using huawei matepad pro, and I really happy with this tablet.
Fortunately, my life does not depend on Google, no google sheet, no drive, no google meets, zoom, all software and server from my company. So the employee can choose what device they want.
I'm excited for matepad pro 2, if matepad 1 can install GMS, maybe someday matepad 2 also can too.

HMS is totally useless if one is WFH and wants to buy a Huawei phone for both work and photography.
HMS has none of that, they have alternatives on their app store, but it still cannot get past those previously mentioned apps.
especially if you work on a company that heavily relies on google, HMS is totally useless if you want to buy a huawei phone for work and for other stuff

I have both the Mate 20x and the watch 2 gt Pro and love them.
For me, there is nothing out there to replace these at the moment.
That said, I wouldn't buy any current Huawei phones without all the google services and app store.
