I thought Purple Haze" is a song written and recorded by Jimi Hendrix in 1967. Now Apple own patent rights for this! I wonder who they will sue??

Actually I'm not dismissing this at all. If you care to read my first post I did say people pay for premium so it's not good for people to experiencd paint chip n camera issues but hopefully it's just a minority. But it sounds like the camera is not a serious problem at all and people are able to take normal pictures most of the times without issues. The iphone camera is still the best camera on a smartphone so if there is a fault then Apple need to fix this but if there isn't a fault then why make a fuss?

but i never have such issue. I also have sony cybershot camera. And i took pictures from several gadget like galaxy note, ipod touch, and galaxy tab 7+. I did took picture against bright light, but never had such issue.

I also get that kind of haze in my Cybershot Camera. My classmate told me that why is it appearing when he faces the lens in the sun, i said it's normal, he also has this is his DSLR.

It would be nice if Android obsessed Apple haters just read this last paragraph in the news. It kinda makes your hatred look silly.
"As we have reported before, even the experts at Digital Photography Review have dismissed this as a non-issue, asking users to not worry and avoid putting bright lights near the edges of the frame while shooting."
Note the words Experts and Digital Photography Review.
