This one targets people who want a small phone with flagship processor and a good battery. It even keeps the headphone jack.

Woohoo, 16 May 2021I don't see how it'd be more confusing, it isn�... moreI was talking in general about the amount of rebranded, re named phones with almost identical specs and looks with ever more random naming schemes. Also there seems to be a trend lately of new 'upgrade' models actually being downgrades on previous models, this started with Motorola (Lenovo) dropping screen Res, NFC and chipsets but now other manufacturers seem to do the same thing on some models. If you know anything about phone specs you see this but 90% of people don't know what chip powers their phone or if the screen is 720p or 1080p and just assume a newer model = better. Even Samsung seem to have jumped on the bandwagon of endless phone releases of garbage low end phones. Ah well at least it gives phone reviewers something to review even if it seems like the same phone over and over lol! Anyhows peace y'all ✌️

Asus Zenfone 8 is simply Asus 8z, u can pretty much know what it is with that, unlike some dog-shit mi/redmi/poco 11/11X/F3/X3/i/Pro all cobbled to gether

In india they named 8Z ;bcz zen company filed a case to asus that they used their name in zenfone so for worldwide zenfone 8 flip .for india 8Z.

Guess that would make it even more confusing for Indian customers in an already confusing market. The days of yearly releases of 1 low, 1 midrange and 1 flagship with a distinct naming for each are well and truly gone lol! Remember when OnePlus started the 6 monthly refresh with their T model and now the Chinese brands just took it to a whole new level with their seemingly daily releases 🤪

Why don't companies just release their phones with the same names around the world to avoid confusion but put the name of the region in brackets where it's being released? Eg: Zenphone 8 flip (India)
