I would compare it to another phone, also low-end, also compact, also "recent", with a Snapdragon 439 chipset. But that wouldn't make sense, since the Ace 2 is a japan-exclusive handset, and this phone i'd compare the Ace 2 to probaly isn't being sold in Japan.

        its ok sony xperia ace , sharp will be making 5.8incher phone maybe it will be availble in asian markets ssooon..

          And there will be people defending that abomination!
          Why not at least the Helio P60 Mediatek?
          Heck, even the lowly Nokia 5.1 Plus had it (Helio P60) and pulled very good numbers!

              Sony finally gives in to NOTCH... for their home market. Apple says: "You are 4 years late"

                But the Xperia compact series had high end specifications. The Ace 2 seems to be mid-range.

                  So the Xperia Ace 2 has worse chipset and worse display and its predecessor. Does anyone still believe that Sony will keep its mobile division into 2022? Because I don't.

                    While people are really bashing on this phone for it's outdated specs I'd think that this phone is exclusively for Japan for a reason. Possibly for students.

                      Sony is the new SOC dumpster for Mediatek.

                        Meanwhile if it was Xiaomi some people on GSMArena would comment how great it is.

                        And others like me would say the same like they would for this Sony, specs are poor to put it kindly.

                                  weird, i think sony said thet wont release 4g cellphone again in 2021. sony even canceled 10ii plus use sd720. and make it weird l5 is ditched because it low end 4g but this ace 2 will release? and doesnt japan now have 5g, so who gonna buy 4g cellphone in japan?
