Windows phone was a whole other story.
There was a clear lack of apps, development, effort, and it was self destroyed. Along with destroying what was left of nokia.
Tizen devices are decently supported. Windows phone was a side piece to elop and so on.

Well i have both watch zenwatch 3 run on wear os and galaxy watch on tizen. Wear os lag as hell and drain battery. Please stick with tizen...

Even Windows Phone was great but died in the end.

Perhaps the battery benefit came from Samsung making their own custom silicon, while WearOS was stuck with using only 2 Qualcomm chips which were no match for the chips Apple and Samsung were using.

Wonder what Garmin will do ? Hope Garmin make some improve becose they make sport watches but a lot of people want use them as a smartwaches.
Garmin needs LTE, ECG, improved mapping support, gym, WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal support.
If Samsung improved Active watches series some poeple can buy Samsung instead of Garmin. Vivoactive, venu maybe even Fenix ?

according to Google themselves, wear os and Tizen are merging to create singular platform. so its not like Samsung is abandon Tizen for wear os.

Please don't! Otherwise you kill your entire galaxy watch. The best working android watch with a good battery life is Samsung because of the Tizen. Wear OS is one of the worst smart watch OS.

I'm betting this will help with profitability, just not for you. They'll charge more because they're buying an OS from a competitor.
It won't hit the news that they saved a bundle laying off their OS team.
