i think it will be similar to s advance but with a better screen resolution and better processor with the same 5mp cam and 720p video recording and if it is in the same price of s advance then it will beat all the midranges phone and it will be my first samsung phone

480p screen would be disappointing. To think that last year's Galaxy Nexus could beat the S3 Mini both in specs & prize doesn't look too good on Samsung. Mid-range should be 720p with 2100mAh battery, I mean we'll soon have full HD phones, so let's not stick to 800x480.

hahaha samsung is really ridiculous, samsung is the king in market phone, they have the best flagships and high end phone. on the other hand iphone 5 is the king of low end phones., samsung just let the iphone 5 be the king of low end phones if you let this phone release on the market what will be left on apple? samsung is on top they have to give chance to others, hahaha

Chiddu, 10 Oct 2012I just want decent 1080p video recording and a lower price.... morei prefer a very good 720p video quality over a decent 1080p video recording quality...and this 4" galaxy looks promising. i hope it have 1gb ram,good dual core processor,qhd resolution, 8-16gb internal with micro sd slot and price is around 370-420$.

I hope it will have the Wolfson audio chip, so we can use supercurios Voodoo Sound! 720p screen would also be good, and on 4 inch screen even a pentile 720p is ok!

Anyone can buy a Samsung device! They are a budget company not a high end luxury brand.
The cheapest and crapiest phones on market are made by them
If you want something distinguisheble and with "pedigree" you need to look elsewhere.
What is the point of this phone? They already have similar ones. And they call this a mini? And to make it this "small" they had to compromise and cut things out?
C'mon Samsung! Where is your technology, knowhow and all that superiority you claim you have on SIII?
A real company would either downsize it to a proper mini size or keep all the tech....boring...

Should have been the same size of the S2 with the same specs of the S3......reducing the processor to a dual core and the camera to 5MP doesn't make much sense if the problem was just the size of the screen.....

where are the rotten apple fanboys to tell us that Samsung copied the ''mini" name from iCompany?
As far as i remember the word "mini" belongs to a car, and is also used in xperia mini years ago... But as usual apple forgets the past and sues anyone who uses something after her... Like the RECTANGLE shape! Also used in caskets !

Really it's good idea from Samsung to have mini s3. From this movement he can capture the low budget customer who wants smart phone at reasonable price. I think the price should be around US$100

Go for it Sammy! Really nice phones, the Galaxy S series. And I love to have a choice about model and size.
