iPhone 5 production slows down due to stricter quality control

So they decided to make sure that you receive a non iScratched device out of the box rather than actual improvement on the build quality like better coating. Why is my brother's 2 y.o. N8 don't have such scratches despite not having it protected with a case plus mixing it with spare coins or some keys? The first 20 mins or so of the unveiling of the iP5 talked about excellent build quality was proven to be another misleading hype of a marketing department extraordinaire.

AnonD-59657, 10 Oct 2012iPhone 5 is the most advance smartphone with cutting edge t... moreCould you explain why? Because I got many arguments in favor of the SGS3 other than "it looks beautiful". Benchamarks, battery life, lightness and UI simplicity/smoothness favor the iPhone.
But lack of features, hardware caps, outdated/strange resolution, unfinished mapping software, a bad/mediocre camera, hardware quality issues (chipped aluminum anyone?), the dull and small screen, boring UI (yep, way toooo simple and boring), lack of removable battery and expandable storage kill that thing for me.
Out of the horsepower, Sammy did really well with the Touchwiz in the S3. Smart stay, Direct Call, Pop up Play and S Beam (NFC fast transfers) are really welcome, useful and yet uncommon features. Battery life is quite good too and customizability ends whereever you want it to.

i cant believe apple such a top company use foxconn. im sure there are better quality manufacturers out there why not use samsung or lg. at least you would get high quality product. and one that works well.

A... moreSo does it mean that if you get a purple haze while taking pictures it's meant to be normal as well as the dents, scratches, problems with the maps? Apple is really a breaker of promises. Wasn't it Tim's job to overlook the whole job of ensuring that Foxconn delivers their products without faults but decided that due to time constraints he decided to go ahead with the launch. Also he ignored the warning from Foxconn that 10% of the phones had faults. So "like a man" the truth is Apple doesn't look like they are going to progress any further as they are not inventing anything new. More apologies from Tim to come soon and enjoy your Apple product.

but then again all you here between them is trash talk
why not post a list of can and cannot do between the two phones and see who the better all rounder is instead of bashing each other like crazy...

oh my God,here in Africa all my friendz are all using the iphone 5,but u know what,the also have the samsung galaxy s3.which i my self also have.too bad am not that rich to get an i phone 5.my friendz use there iph5 when going to school and the galaxy s3 when at home.i dnt know why,?

Apple never lied nor confused users with the published spec. unlike its competitors always put down an impressive paper spec but failed to deliver its promised performance.

Apple has taken a proactive approach to improve the manufacturing quality at FOXXCON. This is a great thing!
FOXXCON sucks and they need to be monitored closely by Apple to make sure they do every thing damn right.
