Realme tipped to launch Snapdragon 778 and 870-powered smartphones on June 18

Realme recently confirmed it will soon launch a Snapdragon 778-powered smartphone that's codenamed "Quicksilver".

The Android Freak, 24 May 2021Redmi K40 Pro Plus. Thanks. Yeah, that one has a decent main sensor alright but as a successor to last year's top model in the K30 series (the k30 pro zoom) I still view it as a downgrade. The k30 pro zoom had 3x zoom with OIS, the main imx686 with OIS and a 13 mp ultrawide. On paper the k40 pro+ should be better in lowlight but that's about it. Although the ISP will make a difference it's also still basically the same camera setup they put on midrangers like the Redmi Note 9 pro 5g. Personally, think the mi10s is a better option than the k40pro+ camera wise and it's slightly cheaper. Also has the added benefit of the top speakers on a phone (at least for a phone that is not labelled as a gaming phone).

You need to buy one of these for bes... moreYeah, I certainly wouldn't expect a midranger to compete with the mi11 ultra or anything but at least to have a proper competitive camera setup. Last year had better midrange and budget flagship offerings in terms of camera. For example the Honor v30 pro and Redmi k30 Pro zoom in the budget flagship category. Xiaomi also released the cc9pro with a midrange chip a couple of years ago which at the time had a very competitive camera set up and is still a lot better camera wise better than any midranger they have launched since.

                          In my country (European country), the only Realme models that arrived this year were the Realme 8 series phones. Xiaomi (Redmi and Poco included), Samsung and Apple are the most important phones here.

All their midrangers and budget phones have been downgraded in terms of overall camera setup with just two useful lenses and no OIS. Oppo did the same downgrading the cameras from the Reno 4pro to Reno 5pro. Hoping some manufacturer can release a good phone with something like the snapdragon 778780 that has a proper camera setup

                                It's actually getting to the point where there's not even a need to write a review on these 'new' phones, just copy and paste and stick a photo of whatever supposed new phone is released. Job done! I want a phone made from silly putty that will just bounce back into my hand if I drop it!

                                      What the Digtal Chat Station said is there will be Sd778 and Sd870 powered Realme phones later. But the Realme GT NEO flash version with Meditek D1200 is the one focusing on 618 sale event(a sell event JD.COM hold every year).

                                      He never mentioned that Realme will released Sd778/870 powered phone before 18th,June. Actually he mean it is high possibility that sd788 and sd870 powered phone will release after the sale event.....
