I know these specs are not confirmed, but from the above specs, this is basically a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2. Only difference been the Super AMOLED display, bigger display of 4.0inches and the processor is not underclocked as the Ace 2. And to think the expected price is €399, more than €100 above Ace 2. Not a good buy @ all.

Duh Crapsung, can you please stop spamming ugly and useless phone one after another with little to no different in specs?
    What an eyesore.

Was this phone really necessary? The S3 "mini" doesnt really make much sense with the SII still available.

such a big disappointment from the world's leading smartphone manufacturer. they seems downgrading all of their flagship phones to control market and consumers alike.

if this is the real s3 mini, they better name it Smsung Galaxy CRAP.....I thought it would be a smaller version of the galaxy s3....with same specs...quad core processor,1 or 2 GB RAM,8MP cam, Mali 400 etc.....then the phone would be a winner....it would wrest away the consumers who go for iphones bcause of their small size and pocketability....huge competition for iphones....it should be a high end phone in a smaller package........only then it would be a winner and the price is justified....if these leaks turn out to be true then it's just some crap phone from samsung.....won't sell more than 100 units......

It MUST be much better than Galaxy SII at least!
If not, why would anyone chose Galaxy SIII mini stead of Galaxy SII?

Theres nothing "S III" about it, 1GHz dual and WVGA display, samsung must have totally misunderstood the socalled "increased interest in smaller high-end phones in Europe", coz this phone is by no means high end except for maybe the 1GB ram, but even that spec is singing on its last verse.

This is quite good idea from Samsung. Competitor to iPhone... But it's not even near to flagship it supposed to be. More like lower mid range, like xperia u competitor.

Specs should include quad exynos or snapdragon s4 1,5 ghz, qHD 4" screen, 8MP cam, slimmer body etc. Or it must be better performer than its specs suggest. I doubt that. Why can't anybody make a proper competitor to iPhone? It needs that since it's only reasonable sized flagship phone these days.

                And for your information:

                I'm not Apple fan.

Its just like the ace 2. A cheaper kind variety of s2. And i'm sure this will not be called s3 mini since the specs isn't near than the big man

S3 Mini, Good move by Samsung, should drag enough buyers in the midrange segment. Success of this handset depends on pricing and support, doesnot requite much of advertising though.

The chipset is disappointing, Novathor is the least performer among the SOCs. Krait would have been a better choice, my opinion though. but samsung might have opted novathor to reduce costs.

Samsung should launch s3 mini in India at 22-23k otherwise it will be a flop coz the good old s2 is available for 26k

specs r downgraded n price is up... S2 is better deal than this for those who planning to buy it... atleast they must have added exynos chip, dual core 1ghz or snapdragon processor if running shortage of exynos chips... every specs is lower than S2 but the price is higher... is that just for jelly bean, well S2 is getting jelly bean soon...

Now that I think about it, wouldn't it be better just to get a S2 instead of S3 Mini? Plus an S2, especially a used one would work out wayy cheaper + better specs.

                                I smell the Samsung's strategy!
This Samsung S3 mini is to control S3 price plummeting in the market. In my area, the S3's price has dropped approximately 20% since launch.

Heh, now they release it. Couldn't they do this few months ago when iw as buying a phone and was forced to buy old SGS2 because SGS3 was just too big. SGS3 Mini seems like an ideal size for me. But hey, i like my SGS2 still. It's a pretty damn fine phone regardless of its age.

Agree it's pointless.specially with that $515 ~ €400 pricetag.a midranger that is actually not midrangely priced if this leak happens to be true.y not get a gs2 or g nexus instead.
Really samsung's policy is baffling.i was really hoping for something substantial after that g music crap.

if the price is between 450-500$ then i think it is better to buy the galaxy nexus...
