Because people of younger generation only buy windows if they can't afford a Mac. Windows has lost a significant market share the last 15 years and it will lose a lot more as dodos go to rest.

I have an Oppo phone bough it in 2020 for 200 dollars and I must say my 7 years iPhone 5s is taking better photos and runs as fast.

I don't deny that the Android shares a larger market share when comparing mobile OS's however you must realize it's primarily that the entry into the market is significantly cheaper than the most cheapest iPhone (even considering the 2nd hand market).

Mac, that's a professional tool. And iPhone, that's the best companion to that tool, as it provides its eyes and ears (camera module) for the Mac.

OS, not much you can do about it.. A 200€ android providing more than iPhone, this is why ppl want nothing to do with them.

I'd love to see a diagram what % of those 1.2 billion Android devices were within 20-100€ segment and how many around 1000€ segment. Coz I can easily claim 3/4 of those 1.2 billion sales were done within that 20-100€ segment. The remaining 1/4 is higher end devices from brand names and flagships. And still from ALL vendors, not just one. Bragging with cumulative numbers of an only openly and readily available OS done by bunch of different vendors and then comparing all of them to just a single phone maker with entirely own OS and ecosystem just shows how out of touch and clueless people are.

Whether it is video editing, music composition or research apps, Apple ecosystem simply crushes Android. Developers even often have more features for iOS than Android for same app, look at inshot for example, it is a simple but powerful video editing package but Android lacks in a few features.
I myself use an android phone, love the galaxy S9 but when it comes to productivity based apps, Android simply doesn't make it. I have to take out my iPhone SE (2016) or iPad.

Anonymous, 25 May 2021Pretty sure he is talking about consumers and not people wh... moreim not a fanboy, i love android phones (S21 Ultra, Pixel 5, OPPO Find X3 Pro etc.), heck i use a Samsung A50 (6/64) which i got in India and am thinking of an upgrade to another android, i have looked at OPPO, the upcoming Pixel 6 i am excited for, S21 Ultra, potentially the Axon 30U, and the Mi 11 Ultra because Xiaomi is no longer blacklisted in the USA.
Also why would a consumer get paid by Apple? he clearly means about employment
