See now? I got nothing to lose, along with great camera for the price.

Let me tell you something, those banking & shopping app are country/region dependent, I couldnt find those even using a GMS equipped device, here in my country. All banking & shopping apps available in my country are there in the AppGallery, specialized only for my country. The rest of the apps? Its available using Huawei Petal Search, from each official respective website. I'm using whatsapp, facebook, instagram, telegram, spotify with no problem.

You as 1 ... moreI already explain about it after that post. Phones with GMS always better, no doubt about it. Eventhough without GMS, all apps I need is there on P40. I got a phone with great camera with a great price, so I got nothing to loose. Its a personal preferences.
And obviously, I came from a phone that has GMS before.

It's just cosmetics. Core logic / function is still Android 10.
Don't be fooled by the flashy colors. (Don't judge a book by it's color.)
Give them 2 to 5 years.
Maybe the OS might differ enough that it can be considered as a spinoff of Android.
Android and not Android 10.
The real downer is not the OS though.
It's the App store.
I don't blame them for that.

You as 1 person are nothing compared to the hundreds who have migrated towards Google Services.
I imagine this is the same reason Apple retains it's numbers, people are invested in the ecosystem and don't want to change.

Also, many people forget, don't know or just plain don't care because of their love of Huawei that the daughter (Meng) was caught doing business with Iran under an umbrella company.
If you don't agree with the sanctions placed on Iran when the deal happened doesn't really matter as none of us (I'm assuming) are privy to said reasons.

Oh boy, how people minds change. Couple of years ago Huawei was ready to become no.1 worldwide and everybody was praising them, now the same people are saying bad things about Huawei.
I am not saying to be a fanboy of Huawei, but at least try to see their point of view too and be more understanding with them. At least they are trying to do something. They didn't capitulate like Htc or Lg.
