hopefully developing this stretchable tech will also speed up the development of non commercial sized microLED displays too, microLED can't come soon enough to save us from these trash display techs that are available at the moment

One significant use that I hope for, would be for the industry to deploy this tech on at least one side of a dual/foldable display.
Even better if it's programmable.
That way, if you want to, you'd have a kinda tactile keyboard if the screen allows stretching, or at least a lesser amount of gaming controls with a feel around the buttons and joysticks.
Currently, the dual screen phones with gaming controls on the second screen feel worthless if there are too many controls and you have to "see down, away from action" to press that one button.
