But here they don't need to fine-tune the chip for efficiency and they save money on screen, battery, keyboard and speakers. Even the chassis is made up of less material by comparison. So i think 1000€/$ would be a bit much

Ok judging by the materials used in comparison to the M1 Macbook Air this should be arount 500$
So still a bit costly as an apple Tv replacement
But hey, it's kinda good

I proposed a 1KW+ Arm Mac mini design along with Mac Pro a few years back (we used to have an Apple contract engineer and a friend of Steve on the forum). Unfortunately, they scrapped whatever they were working on and went to the 'cheese grater' called design for the pro. The ultimate Mac Pro design was the ability to stack hundreds of Mini Pro's on a desktop, without a frame, which is related to a previous proposal I wanted to work on one day. The 1kw+ mini design is more a standalone, to avoid meltdown. The stackable design, each blade module is self cooling, like the cooling zones in the replacement cheese greater, bit not so limited in numbers. So, they got a long way to go. However, maybe the pro will look like a taller mini, and the Apple game will go tropo over that (as, I say, cough!..Cube).
I really would like to see a 40 core mini, and hundreds of core Pro (heavy duty stuff). The NVIDIA Shield proposals were a 200 watt mini tower, 1kw tower, 15kw, large tower (to fit dedicated normal electric circuits) before the mini stuff.
I wish Apple had done something like that.
The whole idea of my design was to have a VR world hosting design where 6 people could be connected by VR and the Shield system run a raytraced home world. Other people then sit around and play with you, like in the Atari 2600 days with 4 controllers. Normal game systems can't do this in high quality (and at all) and the internet is often too slow and expensive. Giving NVIDIA a clear advantage. The bigger towers for research, server, render farm and workstation purposes.
These are the things they could have done with the technology level, instead of stuff comparable to Intel. They have not really done much that Intel and Microsoft could not answer (but that is another story).
