Had a look at this phone today in a Xiaomi store in China and it looks very good for the price. The LCD screen on this model is definitely better than the LCD one on the Note 9 pro. It also seems to have eis on 4k which the note 9 pro didn't and also offers hdr video. However, I think it's a disappointing model in terms of the kind of signal it is sending as I think it's the first Redmi note pro model (at least in China from the note 7 pro onwards) to not have a headphone jack and micro sd card support. Now that they've started this trend it's probably likely to continue and maybe other manufacturers will follow suit. That was kind of the one advantage (apart from price) that midrangers had over flagships.

Dare to comment... morei think you need to see more higher end ips displays, and not just budget ones. a higher end ips can be better than amoled, colours wise. look at the mi 10t, or sony's higher end ips panels, they're WONDERFUL, miles better then some low end oleds.

There're good (expensive) and not good (cheap) AMOLED. It depends on who manufacture it.
IPS LCD too.. There's good and bad quality depend on who manufacture it.
Yes for the deep black, AMOLED is better. But if we crack the screen maybe if fall down, it's so expensive to replace.

No headphone jack and no micro SD... On a Redmi phone? That's absolutely pathetic. More trash phones. Man I hate phones these days. They get worse every year. Guess I'll have to keep my Mi 10T Lite forever

Can't find anything that mentions microsd in the chinese announcement or the promo video..
IIRC redmi note 10 pro has 3 in 1 simcard slot so there's still a possibility it carries over to the 5g version.
