Samsung announces a beefed up Galaxy S III for Japan

NTT DoCoMo’s Galaxy S III Alpha is going to pack a faster processor than its international version.

Someone said you can't do nothing about the ram, on Android, if you have an sd card, you can use up to 4gb of sd card space for ram, in which it effectively uses half of it so you can ultimately upgrade almost any Android phone to 2gb ram

        Well, we can't do anything about the 2GB but we can root the phone to get to those new clock speeds. They probably use the same exynos-chipset but beef it up. So it's still not a total loss. I have mine for two days and I don't think this phone will feel slow fast.

            Samsung do you realise how many flagship s3 users are upset with this move? Making an updated version within a few months which outperforms your own flagship phone isnt a nice thing to do for your loyal customers. I think you just might have to learn the hard way cause at least for me personally no more preordering and rushing to buy anymore of your phones..

                        Why use metal as material for phone? Plastic sometime stronger than metal and much lighter than it.

                                        The Australian 4G version of the SIII has 2GB of RAM and quad core. Not overclocked though.
