Unless the aluminum is so thin it might as well not be there.

Nobody is installing Android to their microSD card. Don't be an idiot.

Anonymous, 27 May 2021Both phones are rated for IP68, actually. MicroSD is nic... moreYes, I know OnePlus phones have been splash or water resistant for years now, they just don't want to pay for the official IP certification, the T-Mobile 8T is official IP certified without having additional hardware.
And for the microSD, you're right, I don't use them anymore, since my OnePlus 7 have UFS 3.0, Samsung announced UFS cards all the way back in 2016 and it's still not adopted...
So I use a portable M.2 SSD to back up my phone's data, it's USB 3.1 so great speeds, way faster than slow microSD even if they stay all the time in the phone, it's not like my storage will be full anytime soon.

MicroSD is nice if you want to slow down your phone, but everyone should opt for 256GB UFS 3.0+ storage instead.

I had this phone for 2 weeks, this phone has the worst camera experience I had on newer android phones, I've experienced with. Then I sold it after that two weeks of usage! And never look back on one plus phone again! Maybe in the future once they improve the camera, but not not or inext year lol

OIS is the only obvious difference really. There's not enough difference to justify the price. Bottom line is the screen quality and refresh rate is the same, processor virtually the same. The charging speed is better on the OP but the poco F3 charges in less than an hour.

My neighbour bought Nord few months back and it reset itself 2 times. Poor guy was not tech savvy to take backup of everything and lost most of his data. I checked the OP forums and it was an actual issue in some devices which was patched later via OTA update.

But some people might still prefer having the glass back of the 8T, smaller bezels and 65W fast charging.

Anonymous, 27 May 2021not gonna lie, i'd get a poco f3, around $300 cheaper ... moreIt looks like you missed those, the Poco F3 has: a plastic frame, a huge chin at the bottom of the display, no OIS on the 48 MP camera, low 8 MP ultra wide angle sensor, USB 2.0 so you have slow transfer speeds and it can't do video output over it's USB C port.
The SD 870 is just an overclocked SD 865, do you really think you'll notice the difference without using benchmarks?

But the phone was really great in those 7 days, except the battery of course.
Why don't you sell it? Or try to go in the service with it. At least, it will not be a total waste of your money.

I would like to recommend this phone but absolutely can't. I have one but it decided to do a factory reset on me one morning when I booted it up. Couldn't stop it. Now I have no desire to load all my apps on it and start over as I have no idea whether it will do this again. Now it's just an expensive paperweight.
