I've never cared about how many likes a post gets. I can't say that seeing a post with thousands of likes has ever affected my level of appreciation of someone's post. I'll like content so that I can be recommended similar photos and accounts. From an audience engagement point of view, I get why influencers may want to see that, but if there's an option to keep it hidden from my end, I'd probably stick with that.
