Manufacturing the devices provides increasingly lower margins as competition increases. Better to be the one selling the parts and patents to everyone than trying to assemble them in an oversaturated market.

Foldable phones arent. Same for curved screens good only for catching damage faster because curves are less durable than flat screen.

Samsung UTG glass and every company which going to use it is a looser.
Reason is simple UTG glass in foldable phones and foldable phones its self have zero durability and cost way too much for many basic users.
For this case making foldable phones was a really bad decision.
Like curved screens on a phone another stupid idea made by Samsung since S6 edge was created.

it is a very risky game. sony has the same strategy for many years. sony's sensor strategy weakened it's smartphones a lot. xperia's don't sell well since,it's competitors use better sony sensors. hope samsung can keep the balance and preserve samsung phones valuable.
