I will list some of them and why they failed:
HTC ---> Poor after-sales support, expensive problematic devices (HTC Bolt)
LG ---> On top of late updates, they were expensive and lately, their support was bad imo.
Motorola ---> Bought by Google, sold to Lenovo, no more carrier deals.
Xperia ----> Stopped doing carrier deals, on top of being really expensive
ZTE ----> Got the ban hammer for doing some illegal activities. Before that, they were the low end option in AT&T and other carriers
Nokia(Symbian & WP era) ----> Ok, this is the weirdest case: for some reason, Americans never liked Symbian (even though it was way better at its time than iOS/Android), and well, WP is a long told story. There was good support and carrier deals, but oh well.
Nokia (HMD) ---> No need to explain this one. Bad support, bad software with bugs, no carrier deals
So, in summary, if you want to win in the USA, you need to have carrier deals, good after-sales support & proper bug squashing team for your software. That's why both Samsung & Apple have won over there. It's not their fault.

People are preferring Samsung Galaxy A52 5G/A72 due to great software support Samsung has shown in last one and half years.
Last well sold device by One Plus is One Plus 7T. Even ZTE has produced great Axon 10 Pro and now Axon 30 Ultra. I hope it sells well at 849USD. Due to software issues, people are not buying Oppo Find X3 Pro/Vivo X60 Pro Plus which are far better than One Plus 9 Pro.

Best to stay away from there market if they ban everyone and blacklist everyone that is competition to them and especially if they are Chinese with who they have marketing war. It's like poking a hornets nest when you go to American market and when you get sting then your reputation gets a hit that affects you all over the world just like Huawei

Kel, 02 Jun 2021They keep advertising 5G like it’s actually good but on a n... morelmao, I can get around 40Mb/s on a good day on 4G (it shows 4G+ tho when I get those fast speeds, so maybe CA) here in India, but usually it's 20 or so which is still fast enough for mobile use imo. Not sure, what average people would do with, say 100Mb/s
