I'm surprised that they updated a low end tablet. All the others were stuck in their original android version

I hope this means the Tab A 10.1 is also getting it's Android 11 update soon (and hopefully NOT the Core version)

Impressive. Originally this tab was slated for an Android 11 update in September 2021, so for them to push it forward by 3 months is quite fast. It's also not only this device, but it seems Samsung are pushing the A11 update to other devices faster too.

While for Apple case its their IP so they can produce them whatever they want to TSMC. AFAIK Samsung had already done this before in the past, they reuse their old exynos into some midrange A series.

Why is it that apple can put a flagship A-series chip inside a 300$ iPad but samsung can't put a flagship 800-series chip inside a 300$ galaxy tab?
