It was usable problem was nobody knows thats brand.
Since then first real foldable smartphonewas made by Samsung and few weeks before by Royale Flexpai which were made before Fold from Samsung.
But still i want to talk about durability issues and theses foldable phones cost way too mmuch and a screen which can be scratched by nail is useless to my opinion.
Even if the price go as low as 500 for such phone still will be DOA product because paying more than 50 bucks is way too much for something which have worse durabiility than a low end phones such as Xiaomi 9A, Or Samsung A10, Nokia C10 Motorola E6i etc.
No matter the technology used i wouldnt pay 1500-2000 bucks for something which cant survive even a single drop from a tiny height and where no 5D screen protector and real book case cant be used.
Samsung only waste resources, money and scientist or engineers in this case.
Instead of developing something usefull for everyone like a huge capacity batteries which could be small as 3nm CPU for example which every year ges smaller and smaller they creating useless foldable screen with zero durability.
1/4 of total population is starving or lives from one salary to another but yet Samsung spending money on useless project which satisfy noone. Same for every company which working on foldable screens.

Technically LG with the case who had a display also had a foldable without any display durability issues :

Anonymous, 03 Jun 2021Then say a better way to how to get rid of the punch holeBezel: If it ain't broken, don't fix it, bezel still work perfectly fine, and we learned to make them extra slim nowadays as we can see on the Sony latest Xperia 1 & 5 Mk3 who have a slimmer bezels than ever, or the Nubia Red Magics, or the Meizu 16.
They can host many sensors as the Galaxy S8 and S9 had, or the Pixel 4 and 4XL (if we forget the Soli Radar useless thingy), they are the cheapest solution, many either don't care, mind or find them aesthetically pleasing, and they leave the display intact, they are a well known, mastered and proven solution.
Pop up : Unlike what people like to say about them, they are extremely durable, they are really tough, they are cheap, perhaps cheaper than the punch hole, and they don't take any relevant space in the phone, based on the phone volume to battery capacity, the Poco F2 Pro has an excellent ratio that beat many other phones who have a punch hole.
They allow privacy, full display, they look cool, they are more than fast enough already but can be made even faster.
No front camera : There are tons of ways to make it works, from a mirror "arm" that can fold out of the case and allow to use the main camera, to a second display on the back which can have other uses and maybe even be deployable, or a wireless camera that allow for taking pictures we couldn't otherwise and which would come in handy in many situations while also allowing to have a lot of potential lens type available easily.
Remove ALL issues that the front camera causes, as the front camera has always been problematic.
Slider phones : Rather than having the WHOLE phone sliding in half, a simple plate sliding on the back of the phone, which on top have the front camera, resting on a dent on the top/back side of the phone, it would make it totally waterproof (as there are no openings to the body necessary), not hard nor expensive to build, reliable and durable while being a simple and effective solution.
Same pros as the Pop Up, with no moving parts except the slider itself nor any motor required for the manual variant.
Disappearing camera : It is basically a pop up but inside the phone, which mean it is IP67/68 ready, no one can complain about "dust, water, fall" and other imaginary issues.
Unlike the "see through the display" solution they offer privacy, they don't degrade the camera nor display quality, and they are cheap as the solution is simple.
Large, iPhone like notch :
If done PROPERLY, meaning THE DISPLAY AROUND IT is ONLY accessible to status icons (optionally to notifications too, but by default only status), it becomes an enhanced bezel that allow to see icons, meaning it gain space on the rest of the display, meanwhile it has the pros of allowing many sensors such as 3D face recognition, multiple camera, front floodlight, good speaker, etc.

It would be much cheaper, have no durability issues nor any crease (either by design for allowing it to fold or because of the wear).
That's why I bought a Poco F2 Pro anyway, I got it used for 300€ and despite what people say it doesn't have any durability issues.

Whatever is the next thing, except if it is near perfect (respect of privacy, no picture quality loss, no cutout or patch of lesser quality in the display, and not expensive), I'll still complain, and it is rightful to do so.
If a decent enough number of smartphones in ALL price ranges had other options (pop up, bezel, no front camera, wide notch, etc) I wouldn't complain at all about the punch hole, the main issue with the punch hole is that, along with the teardrop notch it is the only thing available along with teardrop notches that.
I would be PERFECTLY fine if the punch hole was just one among other options, even if it was still the most common, but there was still room for those who prefer something else.

Meanwhile, I literally use this comment session the way it is intended, which is NOT for complaining that other people complain, but rather to give our opinion on the devices, which is exactly what I did.
The smartphone market is already a big joke, if no one complained, it would be even worse by a huge margin, we would have ads everywhere including in the home screen, phones would ONLY have 2Mp cameras, in fact if it wasn't for complaints, the hole wouldn't exist and all phones would have instead the wide Apple Notch that people like you complain about, but are also getting mad when someone complains about the punch hole which is a useless version of it, because the iPhone notch at least have a purpose other than just hosting the front camera.

The pop up camera can be adapted to ANY design if done properly, why is a bezel a not good option when a fricking hole in the display is? And yeah, except that there are many solutions to mitigate the lack of front camera, from a secondary display on the back (which can be useful for other things too), wireless camera, mirror, etc.
Regardless the form factor, the punch hole is still stupid.

Aldwin123, 03 Jun 2021Wow completely relevant 🙃🥴Truth hurts, people can't handle it, and in its case it is simple : It is subjective, not everyone like the same thing, some do LIKE the notch, some do LIKE the hole, others prefer normal displays, some HATE the hole, "It's just a small hole" isn't a valid argument, or in this case we have to also consider "It's just a small wasp" said to someone who is allergic to wasps sting being valid too.

AnonD-909757, 02 Jun 2021Same ugly punch hole,they should try something new...of course they will trying something new at some point when the tech is ready. i mean using a proved tech is perfectly fine rather than half baked innovation, just like first gen under display front camera from zte that's still not good in term of quality. adding a pop-up camera is not practical in z flip form factors, adding more bezels to put camera is also not good option. ditch the front camera is also not an option (front camera not just for selfies), so the punch hole is pretty much best option that we have now at least in this form factors.
