Google Pixel’s Astrophotography may get a timelapse feature soon

An update to the Pixel Tips app suggests the feature may arrive soon.

      I am already able to this.
      i live in a big city with light pollution so i use astro mode on buildings only
      i use the mod-ed astro gcam app from xda with light painiting from nov 2019

      and if u use google photos with "create animation" u can combine many pics to get the time lapse effect

      and if u invest $10 u can also get nd filter lens which can do astro in daytime too. nd lens is flat and doesnt need centering which can be a big problem

        I hope that Google improves the astrophotography mode even further. It is already possible to take photos of the Andromeda galaxy and even the Triangulum galaxy and the Orion Nebula can be visible. If the Pixel 6 gets a periscope camera with a large effective diameter (hopefully at least 5mm, currently the main camera has only 2.5mm), then a 30 minute astrophotography mode for the periscope camera could be very nice.
