I don't care.. I can never rely on LG's promises and will recommend everyone to stay away from this company if you wish to see your phone updated with the latest OS, go for Samsung/Sony/even Micromax atleast they care for consumer emotions.. My Optimus P920 has still not got ICS.. Worst company ever..

LG you always lie. ICS announced last December 2011 for O2X and still not release.
LG is worst company in the mobile world it doesn't give the software update even for expensive phones also.

But if you want a good phone in terms of specs, design, feel, buy an LG, if you don't give a damn about updates.

LG, Sony, Motorola and many more mobile phone maker EXCEPT FOR SAMSUNG are as bad as each other when it comes to android updates. S if you want and always updated phone her are your choices 1) get the NEXUS branded android phone 2) switch to a WP8 phone OR 3) get a CRAP Iphone... all of witch get UPDATED properly not messed around by LG, Sony, Motorola and many more mobile phone makers or your service provider...... my next will be a BlackBerry 10 device.......

I think its high time that LG change their image in public...
coz since the past 3 years,LG has had an excellent track-record of delivering High end phones at cheap price.not to forget their phones have premium specs and good build quality.
But they also never fail to provide crappy software and are always late/liars in delivering updates

LG kinda messed things up by not releasing JB on Optimus G, which would have been the main interest on gsmarena if it had the JB at launch. I think it's not LG's fault, the companies whom they work with are slow in providing the drivers needed for LG's new devices to get JB, like 4X and even Optimus G. I agree these 2 phones have more than enough processing power to receive JB, but as I said, it's not LG's fault.

AnonD-71868, 15 Oct 2012If LG phones are the best by far, why do you care so much a... morecouldn't agree more with you. if you look at the daily interest on this site its mostly Samsung but what about the LG Optimus G E973, from looking at the stats a fantastic device and would enjoy taking it for a test drive, if the LG Optimus 4x is anything to go by the G is going to be one hell of a nice device.

If LG phones are the best by far, why do you care so much about updates? If you have ICS, you don't need anything else trust me. Don't make LG phones look so bad only because they have this problem of updating their devices, because they are not bad at all, and people really don't know what LG phones are like. If you have an older LG phone, maybe you have the right to feel upset, but new LG phones are miles better than what they did 1 or 2 years ago. The only thing that stops LG to become the best smartphone producer are the updates, which for me isn't that really important, giving the fact that I'm no stranger to gadgets, I don't buy them only for the looks. We need more advised oppinions on this website than all the kids that give their oppinion without knowing what they're talking about.
