necks, 15 Oct 2012I believe you already heard of Nexus 7?! They releases it q... moreWell the nexus 7 still got some major drawbacks:
    1-No 3G version
    2-No sd card slot,only 8gb and 16gb variants.
3-no rear camera, some might find it useless on a tablet but some others do need it.
But if google released a cheaply priced phone with best specs on the market then why would anyone buy any other high-end android phone from a different manufacturer ?

However, LG needed the Nexus title more than they needed their flagship to outsell a Nexus so they offered the best they have. This could be the thing to turn their fortune around. Every manufacturer that has released a Nexus device enjoyed preference status among Android fans until the next version arrive.

Would 8gb not be the entry level model. They will have a 16gb and 32Gb version also.

I think this is the strategy of Google, to have more users with better Android experience. They are playing by the numbers, so that developer will develop more apps in Android devices as it has more user.
More user equals more revenue in any way you look at it.

This is the best thing that could happen to google and LG, especially LG though. LG has the probably worst updatepolicy, but with a Nexus phone it is not LG, it is Google, who brings the updates and this over years and also pretty fast, like one of the first to even get the newest Android version. In the other side, LG always managed to bring top notch hardware for a really cheap price, but they never updated... This way, this is a total win-win situation. Really looking forward to this thing.

I don't get it,why would google give a huge blow to their main manufacturers(samsung, htc, sony, motorola) and release a device with monster specs and a low price point ? They've never done that with their previous nexus devices but well if 8GB version will be the only variant,it would make sense.
