Going from about 7 to 7.5 is not cutting it for many, especially when they are paying about twice as much. Not much of a change from Fold 2. Price must go down and size up to at least 8.

I would guess that smartphone camera makers would therefore need to ensure as high an f-stop as possible to compensate for the enormous light loss. Plus Computational Photography algorithms would have to be tweaked to produce less hazy pics, and OIS should need help with detail loss due to the pixels in the screen that blur part of the detail. The DJI Mavic 2 Zoom does a great job with its 48MP Super-Resolution Photos, and it's high res photos are way more detailed in the regular 12MP ones. Smartphone OIS modules also need better control over stabilizing movements to be able to produce much higher resolution photos, especially during daylight, and especially on mini tripods. These could compensate for the need for having higher resolution than 12MP on smartphones.

The tipster doesn't say transmittance is 40% better than existing. What the sentence means is that the transmittance (absolute) is 40% which he says is a better value than what others have achieved (not sure of the transmittance value of other UDC). Kindly change the article to reflect this correctly.

Because is the biggest name in mobile world- media people will still criticize them because this solution will not be perfect!
Because of the failure of fold displays Samsung will bring this future with criticism in mind to make people buy their devices.

I think you are wrong about the only comercial smartphone with under display camera is ZTE’s. Actually, Vsmart has sold a phone called Vsmart Aris Pro in Vietnam and it also had UDC!

Not really surprised Samsung Displays solution is by far the best. They aren't market leader for over a decade for no reason.

The price better go down to 1,400 with these little upgrades that aren't worth 2000 and it's smaller which is also a downgrade.
