Japanese SoftBank acquires 70% of US Sprint for $20.1 billion

The Japanese carrier will pay $8 billion for newly-issued shares and $12.1 billion for existing ones.

Are sprint even worth that much, let alone 70%?sure is worth every penny given the outrageous rates US customers pay for mobile networks. the US market is without consumer protections with large providers getting to rewrite the laws to there benefit every election cycle. An example us networks charge both the caller and receiver for every call. Xman

      its a good 1 sprint should be getting a boost with softbank and i think they can do some competitive business with others in US

        But with an extra $8 billion in cash, Sprint finally has the breathing room to invest in the network upgrade, and can also snag MetroPCS. That's where the synergies come in.
