Are these any better than the previous once or are they still no replacement for decent wired headphones? Sony WF-1000XM3 had issues with lows and highs, they were cut off for certain genres. Not very pleasant.

They look different and sound different. If you want to enjoy your music and escape boredom you need several ones. I have 4 of them.

There were a lot of management decisions that ended in failure which was also part of my point. HTC and LG made bad management decisions just like Sony, but Sony turned themselves around since the Xperia 1 and now they're doing better.
Samsung can't really compete when the market is flooded with so much trash from Chinese manufacturers in the mid-range section. When you flood the market, there is nothing that can be done.

I have a pair of Xiaomi Redmi AirDots, certainly not perfect and sometimes left earphone loose connectivity, BUT they fit perfectly, great isolation without need of ANC, last 4 hours as promised and have great great sound quality. AND costs less then 20£. Everything above 50£ is just a scam.

LG and HTC used to have decent marketing, yet they lost their marketshare just like Sony.
Evem Samsung with its marketing powers Bowed down before Chinese brands in budget mid range segment as those brands provided better devices

Sony's will easily be the best for now, because not as many will bother to go that far.
