They don't succumb to child labour and underpaid workers unlike the big Chinese brands and also Apple. Fairphone would even go as far as sourcing conflict-free materials. Fairphone believes that everyone in the production line should be treated equally.

Qualcomm... moreIt lacks anyways the superior hardware image processing capabilities of the 6XX and 7XX series despite the raw performance. It also lacks other features that make it still a 4XX series. Not all is score more or less in the benchmarks.

Workers need to be properly paid
Waste need to be properly disposed
All of this are affecting the cost and will impact the final price to the customer

I know things move up a bit, but seeing 4xx series just makes you think about bottom of the barrel chipsets that we all avoid almost religiously. 7xx was generally accepted as pretty capable mid range chipsets and 8xx being high end.

Poco X3 Pro is with SD860 and cost 240 euro. Redmi note 10 series stay under 200 euro if it's not the Pro version. And we dont know what Redmi 10 will be. Never mind that Redmi 9 was with Helio G85. Samsung hardware wont be good until the price is over 300 euro but in that range already Xiaomi have flagship chips in them.

Anonymous, 11 Jun 2021I see lots of ignorance about snapdragon 480.The 480 may have better performance than most could give it credit for, but it's inability to shoot 4k makes it useless in 2021. It means that the chip can't fully utilise the camera specs, and that's the real shame.

Just when I thought that choosing between the X10 and X20 was already difficult enough, HMD Nokia decided to throw in yet another SD 480-powered smartphone. I wonder what kind of difference the XR20 will have compared to the X10 and X20.

Imagine if this one comes with hardened glass protection for the display that the X10 and X20 lacks. Wow, XR!!! It could cost even more than 500 dollars lol
