Jonas, 14 Jun 2021not updates for ticwatch 2, will never buy again anything f... moreMaybe it's a typo but, the watch you mention has the MTK2601 chipset not even the SD2100.
Even watches with the very the SD3100 which is an old SD2100 with a co-processor will not get the version of wearos. Like say the Zen3 watch, it will get what ever new fearture it can support. The Zen 3 didn't get H-MR2 but, it got updates that masde it run a bit smoother and last longer on top of the new weather tile and other stuff.

You basically saying you're switching to Apple which is a fine choice. No wearos watch with anything below the SD4100 will get the full new version of wearos. Samsung is only eleasing it on the watch they are releasing later this year and not on any existing watch.

Still waiting using my Ticwatch E first gen. Let's hope for an affordable price, maybe NFC and good battery. But this lack of an OLED screen, it's strange.

Garmin should bring more in apps, settings, socialmedia (many people want to use whatsapp, signal, telegram through watches - not only answer yes/no), payments (not unvailabe is some European countries).

Osborne effect. Everybody else is waiting for the new Google / Samsung collaboration Wear operating system. Any Wear OS device launched before that could potentially not be updatable to this new OS. I wouldn't buy one without knowing if that is the case.
