Anonymous, 19 Oct 2012Sony is wasting us!we still waiting for a quad core,4.6 inc... moreNo they are not "wasting us" as u call it. Dual-core Krait Processors are known to give tough competition to the existing quad cores (exynos 4412, Tegra 3). And if rumours are to be believed they are unveiling their quad core phones codenamed "Odin" & "Yuga" in CES 2013.

      Xperia T = 4.55"/ 1.5 Ghz Krait/ 13 MP cam (upgraded Ion which had 1.5 Ghz Scorpion/ 12 MP cam)
Xperia V = 4.3" / 1.5 Ghz Krait/ 13 MP cam [(dust & water proof, BT 4.0, HDR, Superior Auto, Mobile Bravia Engine 2,Clear Audio+) upgraded Acro S which had 1.5 Ghz Scorpion/ 12 MP cam without the dedicated cam button]

And NO 2 PHONES are the SAME -.-

Look at Sony Cybershot - one design is used for different models - with different feature sets.

Look at Sony Bravia (and even the Trinitron before), same box, same main design - different features.

Look at Sony optical drives, walkmans, clock-radios, etc. even simple earphones - one design is used with many little differences.

Yet, they can do it and they can support all their products.

zabuza, 17 Oct 2012Sony spams same phone over & over .. I really hate t... moreI think we exaggerate. If we look closely, there's only two phones in each segment - one focusing on performance and the other for rugged use. The rest are international versions.

Why? Because they can already (after Ericsson left) - Sony is a sleeping dragon, they are Japan's equivalent to Korea's Samsung. They can come up with all models and they can support it. It's the same with all their other appliances - almost same specs but different features. And they were successful! :)

AnonD-69442, 17 Oct 2012sony have 5-6 phones in same segment with all same features... moreSmartphones have become very personal items, and Sony Mobile wants to compete in that respect.

Remember the automobile Ford Model T "You can have it any color, as long as it's black."? Well, look now at how many trims each model of each brand has, and that's not counting optional features.

AnonD-69442, 17 Oct 2012sony have 5-6 phones in same segment with all same features... moreThat's their strategy to confuse loyal sony fans/buyers by releasing many phones in that segment. Sony is forcing to buy phones near or greater to $450.
They are not providing complete features in mid range phones.

I guess samsung have release Galaxy S Advance. that boasts all features is proper mid range phone rite now.

Sense is very laggy and I'd like them to drop it or
                        slim it down.
