Only select phones have any difference (e.g. Samsung A72 with telephoto and Vivo X60).

This is only CNY 300 ($47) more than the Honor 50 Pro - arguably well worth it for the upgrades you get (snapdragon 888, metal frame, much better display, bigger+better camera sensors).
To be honest, the standard Honor 50 at CNY 2699 doesn't seem too bad - I have no idea why the pro is a full CNY 1000 more when it just brings a bigger display and second selfie camera....and thats it

No point in the 50 pro model unless you're mad about selfies. The regular 50 though at 2,699rmb is reasonably priced and in a different price category

notafanboy, 16 Jun 2021Better luck next year, Honor.It's such a downgrade vs their previous models, e.g. Honor 30 Pro with 8mp periscope telephoto and 16mp ultrawide, and Pro+ upping that to a huge 50mp primary sensor. pretty disappointing tbh

Comparing with the mi11 lite it's 400rmb more but that has a flat screen and weaker main camera sensor. The new honor is definitely not going to compete with Redmi and Realme on price but it is priced better than the Reno 6 series at least

Which respectively costs CNY 3,999 and CNY 3,699. And since Honor 50 series is limited to China, i can only compare Chinese prices of Chinese models. Not until they release it globally.

I got the Huawei freebuds 4i and in UK it cost £80 but In Philippines when converted it costs £53. I'm paying almost £30 difference for what ??

The new Honor are more focusing are retail store instead online store in Chinese market,The new Honor 50 series is aiming the OPPO reno and Vivo X series.
So dont expect they will sell low price-high performance phone like before.Retail store in China mean it have lots of profit

Last year's Honor 30 series was way better for cameras. Even the v30pro from a year and a half ago had a great camera setup, better than the mi11. This year cameras have been a big let down on all but the most expensive flagships

Dissapointing. Mi 11 is much better in display, chip, wireless charging, and sad to say (better cameras overall too)
108 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 Mp
Is an joke. Midranges are laughing at this specs.
Sd 778 on this price is trash especially when the cameras are that bad on the specs at least.

That's very decent for the price they are selling the phone - seems like you still living in the 2000s where only megapixels counted.
